5 Easy Ways To Decorate Your Home For Spring + Summer

The warmer weather and sunshine are finally here and I could not be more ecstatic. If you live in New England or anywhere else where you experience the change of seasons, you quickly realize how amazing the warmth and sunshine feel after a long, cold and snowy winter.

You can finally open the windows, eat al fresco in your yard or if you're like me on your small city deck, and hopefully swap out your winter home décor for pieces that are more suitable for spring and summer.

Wall Art Ideas For a Kids' Room

As I start to furnish and decorate our first little babe's room, I've got kid-friendly wall art on the brain. Art can be a tough one to nail down. It can be so personal and often times hard to pinpoint what you like or want in a space. You can read all about my tips for selecting art here, but today I want to strictly chat about wall art ideas for a kid's room - nursery, toddler's room, little boy/girl's room, playroom, play nook - what ever kid-related space you're looking to dress the walls of, I have some basic guidelines and tips that will hopefully make the art selecting process easier! Oh and I have some of my current favorites below!!

Art is one of those things that can either make or break a space. A poor choice in art can make a space look cheesy, while an awesome choice in art can take a space to the next level (in a good way!). With that said, art is extremely personal which can make it difficult to select if you're not entirely sure what you like or even what will work with your space. There are SO many different types of art - painting, mixed media, drawing, photography, etc. So when you're trying to select art for your space but are feeling a little stumped, my first rule would be to determine what you like or even what you don't like to rule out the obvious. For me, I gravitate towards paintings but also like very selective photography-type art.
